Research and development on sustainability and collaboration

By developing and promoting highly original research activities related to the SDGs in an interdisciplinary manner, the goal is to develop the level of research related to environmental studies and informatics while realizing the development of science and technology and the achievement of a future society through industry-government-academia collaboration. Specifically, the development of advanced manufacturing using digital technology(SDGs8,9,12), construction of consensus building on climate change risks and implementation of policy making processes (SDGs 11, 13, 17), and regional development through lifestyle innovation (SDGs 8, 9, 11), We conduct a wide range of collaborative research with national and local governments, companies and NPOs, focusing on research and development of models for solving environmental and social problems based on systems thinking (SDGs 4,10,17).
